Wife wants a Connection with her Lover!

Hello,

I have been into sharing my wife since very early on in our relationship. It was a friend's extra interest that she enjoyed. After things went downhill with him, it was a few years before she was willing to explore anything beyond some limited discussion.

For the next few years, we would dive in and out of the lifestyle, but it has always been driven purely by me. She would play along for a short time, then call it off not long after, and repeat. It's been fun but a little frustrating as it feels very temperamental. She always enjoyed the play sessions etc, but I felt like it was a burden on her at times and she was only doing anything at all to please me, which at times can take the fun out of it.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, we have been discussing getting back into things. She is changing jobs, is less stressed and all round more confident in her body for a number of reasons. I floated the idea of finding a new person before she starts the new job as its an easier time now. She agrees but adds;

"Yeah, I think I want someone a bit more regularly this time though. It's so annoying when we have to start from scratch. Plus, I bet the sex would be better if we had time to get used to each other."

My jaw nearly hit the floor! I had been saying this for years, but now it was her idea, I didn't need to push for it so happily just agreed. A few days later, she then added;

"I think it will be nice to find someone a bit more regular. I hope we can do more than just sex, like dinner dates or going out together. I think it will be easier to get into things and explore further with more trust and intimacy."

I had to hide my hard-on just hearing her talk about it, as a picture of her and her new lover passionately making love (not just fucking) ran through my mind.

Then we started making a dating profile and she was open to using a less mainstream site because she wouldn't have the local work worries anymore. We finished the profile and went to bed, by the time we woke up she had over 100 likes and a bunch of pings with extra messages that she was able to scroll through.

This time was different though, it wasn't the usual laboured effort like normal, this time she was excited to find her potential new partner.

She has a date tonight with a guy she has been taking to a little over a week now, and wow, what a difference! Gone are the days of pestering her for information and requesting details. She comes to me while doing house jobs or cooking, telling me about their common interests, little jokes and flirting and even her thoughts on the pictures they have been sharing together. It almost feels like a done deal!

So now, I am sitting here as she considers what lingerie she will wear under her dress, just incase. She is insisting that she doesn't plan to do anything physical until they have had the chance to, "build a connection". Given how many times she has said, "I just hope he is a good kisser", it feels like if they get to make out at the end of the date, she will probably be coming home filled more than just good feelings by the end of date two.

Either way, I have never been happier or more full of angst over the introduction of emotions, but looking forward to the wild ride ahead! I will report back!
